Universal GM Saginaw Steering Box Mount - Plates only
Finding a clean, strong way to mount a GM Saginaw steering box on a custom chassis isn't always easy. Most steering box brackets are designed for a specific vehicle or simply reinforce an existing factory frame.
Our Universal GM Saginaw Steering Box Mount Plates were designed from the ground up for custom fabrication. Whether you're building a tube chassis, replacing a frame, or fabricating a custom 2x4 boxed frame, these laser-cut plates provide the foundation for a strong, reliable steering box mount.
The kit includes both the inner and outer frame plates and is compatible with both 3-bolt and 4-bolt GM Saginaw steering boxes. The mounting plates are specifically designed to be used with weld-in tubing spacers (sold separately), creating a boxed mounting structure that prevents frame crush and distributes steering loads through the frame for maximum strength.
Designed, tested, and proven on our Junkyard Jeepster project, these plates provide a simple starting point for fabricators building steering systems from scratch
