This kit will be surprisingly difficult as heat control will be very important. Speaking of difficult, that little 1/2 inch piece on top is affectionately called, "The Bonus Round." You can choose to omit this piece, since welding it will require extreme caution. It's all part of our mission to provide you with great weld training at a low cost.

I prefer buying the practice kits that allow the most repition. 24 filets is not bad for the size and price point.
Changed welding speeds & volts,2 different welding machines. And metal thickness as well great kit to sharping skills, but getting much better than last year starting.
Overall very nice! Would love if it came fully cut out; small burrs on break ends exist. They aren't that bad, but a clean cut would be nice. I opted for not practicing on this piece and went with a small picture frame build. I think it will come out rather nice!! I'll buy more, especially if they come out with a full cut version.
Tiny kit that expands to give you miles and miles of lap joints to practice.Don't forget to prepare surfaces using your grinder and a flap disc.And you may have to re-prepare between steps.I welded two pieces by two pieces separately before assembling the whole pyramid, trying to manage the heat injected in those tiny pieces.Very fulfilling project.I forgot that I now have also the underside that I could have welded too!Thanks for providing a great kit available so quickly from Amazon.
This was a lot of fun. I wish it were a touch bigger, but that being said it was still a good bit of bead to lay down.It was helpful to play with technique and settings on metal that did not really matter
